Mr. Schlackman is both a lawyer and engineer. He received a Bachelor of Science (Chemical Engineering) from the City College of New York (1967), graduating first in his class among all chemical engineering students. Mr. Schlackman then attended the University of California at Berkeley majoring in Environmental Engineering (Ph.D. Program) sponsored under a fellowship provided by the U.S. Public Health Service. While in government and corporate positions in the 1970's and 1980's, Mr. Schlackman stayed current in his technology fields honing his natural negotiation and contract capabilities with coursework and formal federal procurement classes and administrative law courses. Mr. Schlackman received his J.D. law degree from the University of West Los Angeles in 1992 and promptly passed the California Bar Exam. He chose the path to become an attorney based on his enthusiasm in working at the interface where high technology, business opportunity, corporate management and problem resolution converge.
